Thankful for Puff-Kitty Silhouette 10/31/96-6/20/10

Puff-Kitty Silhouette our black beauty is our first kitty to leave us.
Her loss leaves such an emptiness in us as her constant presence
over the last 12, almost 13 years filled our days with love.

Puff-Kitty had a very long fur coat when she was an in and out kitty.
This is what she looked like when she came to us in the fall of '97.

Puffy was a stray and so we really didn't know when she was born.
We used Halloween as a default birthday as showed up in October
of 1997 and our veterinarian thought she was about one at the time.

Her favorite place in the world was on her daddy's lap.

This was her "Aren't I the cutest kitty in the world?" pose.

Long after she was an indoors only kitty she would always
have to see what was going on outside.

She was a lovely silhouette in the window.

Always an enigma, not knowing from where she came.
She just showed up one day knowing that we needed her.
Even in her decline, like Grizabella, if you touched her
you understood what happiness is...
On Sunday we helped her leave us.
Thank you Puff-Kitty for all that you were, all that you
taught us, and for filling our hearts with love.

Carm she was a special kitty - That I could tell from the way you talked about her...

Her cute kitty pose is right too she was a cute kitty girl.

I know you are going to miss her lots - I still miss my Sooty every time I go to my parents house and he was put down 2 years ago.

Just remember the good times.

Puffy was a beautiful girl. You can tell she was very loved and very much a part of the family.
Now you have a Puffy-shaped hole in your heart, that's the price we pay for love. That and a million beautiful memories that live on.

We know you will miss Puff greatly - they worm their way into our lives and we love them dearly and leave us broken hearted and missing them so much. Their love for us is worth all the heartache.

I still miss my old Shaq, mean cuss that he was ... I still miss my Sylvia, who left me very suddenly at Easter of 2006; and especially my old Bou, my best friend for 16 years, who went on to the Bridge in August of the same year ... I miss my Nasha, who was very much my husband's cat, and perhaps it was coincidence that she started to go downhill right after he passed away; but perhaps not, since she was already old ... each of these little angels is special. You'll see Puffy around every corner for awhile, but perhaps that's just her letting you know that she's okay ... what a special girl she was/is. You have a lifetime of love to remember, and your life is richer because of her.

How can I not be thankful for the lovely kitteh that converted you guys into the crazy cat people you've become? Had it not been for Puffy..you might still be (shiver) merely "dog people!" She was such a beautiful girl. I'll never forget meeting her. She was the friendliest of all the 8GR8s when I was there. I will miss her in your writings and pictures, and my heart is with you in this loss. Hugs to all.

It's SO hard to lose a beloved kitty. And Puff-kitty looks so like Jasmin that it makes me miss Jazzy all over again. Here's Jazz - you can see how much they had in common:

It's always difficult when you loose a pet, especially if you loved it like you do with Kitty. I send you a lot of courage, filled with sincere wishes.

By the way, it's been 2 months that I have a new kitty that totally looks like Puff-Kitty (but she's only 7 months for now).We both send you our best purrs
