Sunflower Sunday...

Candy, Pride & Tommy are watching the PURRogress
of our Russian Giant Sunflowers...

On Thursday the first flower bloomed
at a height of approximately 11 feet!

Moony says are there any Moonflowers?
Actually there are!  My neighbors have some!
Read about the moonflower!

Not completely open yet...

Here's my mom next to it in full bloom!

Happy Sunflower Sunday to all...

That's not a sunflower - that's a monster that looks like it might eat your human! Didn't she ever see Little Shop of Horrors? She shouldn't be standing there - she should be running away!

Thanks for the link, and for sharing that massive sunflower! Keep an eye out for goldfinches and other birds coming to eat the seeds.

There is a detailed photo of a sunspot that looks like a sunflower like yours.....I wonder if those monster sunflowers grow up in the Pacific Northwest?

Gosh ~ that is a beautiful sunflower! I haven't seen a sunflower growing like that for ages. Lovely! What is it about those beautiful smiley sun faces that give you that 'warm hug' feeling? mmmm ~ love it!

Happy Sunday!
