We have had a Gray Catbird visit our birdbath.
The other bird is a House Finch.
He heard we were a cat friendly house!
If you’re convinced you’ll never be able to learn bird calls, start with the Gray Catbird. Once you’ve heard its catty mew you won’t forget it. Follow the sound into thickets and vine tangles and you’ll be rewarded by a somber gray bird with a black cap and bright rusty feathers under the tail. Gray Catbirds are relatives of mockingbirds and thrashers, and they share that group’s vocal abilities, copying the sounds of other species and stringing them together to make their own song.

WE have heard of cat birds, but never seen one!
Oh wow! Look at them swimming around and enjoying that. What fun to watch!
Now that is a sight any cat would love to watch!
And here I thought the cat bird was just an urban legend!!! I'd LOVE to have one of my very own! heh heh

How sweet! Great pictures! How come I don't find it surprising that the Craziest Cat Lady of all has a catbird in her birdbath?
