Tommy & Pride and Papa's flag...

My dad Thomas N. Pitrelli-
was an Army- Military Police in WWII
He was overseas for almost 5 years.

He was in the Battle of the Bulge, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Bulge

When the war was over he drove the enemy generals to prison.
He wasn't one to tell war stories.  At the end of his life I had seen
Saving Private Ryan and I asked him about his experience.
He told me all about it.  He suffered from PTSD every time
there was a lightening and thunder storm he got very nervous.
Last night there was quite a storm and I thought of him.

Our Lord Thomas Milton- Tommy is named for my dad!
My dad also shared a story with me about his beloved Nelly,
she was a longhaired blue/gray cat and how he never had the
heart to own a cat when we were kids because he missed her so.
